Connect in two minutes.
All three of the popular MCP clients use the same server URL and the same API key. Pick your client below and copy the config.
1. Generate an API key
- Open Settings → API Keys in your dashboard.
- Click Create key, give it a label like "Claude Desktop".
- Copy the key — it starts with
fp_and is shown only once.
2. Add the server to your client
Run from your project root:
claude mcp add formping \
--transport http \
https://mcp.formping.ch \
--header "Authorization: Bearer fp_YOUR_KEY_HERE"
Then restart Claude Code. Verify with:
claude mcp list
Open Settings → MCP in Cursor and add a new server, or edit ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"formping": {
"url": "https://mcp.formping.ch",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer fp_YOUR_KEY_HERE"
}
}
}
}
Restart Cursor.
Edit your Claude Desktop config file:
- macOS —
~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json - Windows —
%APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
{
"mcpServers": {
"formping": {
"url": "https://mcp.formping.ch",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer fp_YOUR_KEY_HERE"
}
}
}
}
Quit Claude Desktop completely and reopen it.
3. Verify it works
In your AI client, try:
List my FormPing tokens.
Your AI should call the list_tokens tool and respond with your tokens. If
you don't have any yet, ask:
Create a FormPing token called "test" allowed on example.com,
then give me the script tag.
You can use the same API key for multiple clients, but generating a separate key per client makes it much easier to rotate or revoke if a single device is compromised. You can have up to 5 active keys per account.
Troubleshooting
- "Unauthorized" — double-check that you copied the entire key, including the
fp_prefix, and that it hasn't been revoked in the dashboard. - "Server not found" — confirm the URL is exactly
https://mcp.formping.chwith no trailing slash. - Tools don't show up — restart your client. MCP servers are loaded on startup; live reload isn't supported by all clients.
