FormPing for WordPress.

The official plugin lets you embed FormPing forms with a shortcode or a Gutenberg block, or connect existing Contact Form 7 / WPForms / WS Form forms via Takeover — all from inside the WordPress admin.

Install

  1. Download the plugin .zip from your dashboard's Integrations → WordPress tab.
  2. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and pick the file.
  3. Activate it. A new FormPing menu item appears in the sidebar.

Connect with an API key

  1. In your FormPing dashboard, open Settings → API Keys and click Create key. See API Keys for details.
  2. Copy the key (it starts with fp_) — you can only see it once.
  3. In WordPress admin, open FormPing → Connect, paste the key, and click Connect.
  4. Your tokens will now appear in the plugin's token picker.

API keys for the WordPress plugin are scoped: they can manage tokens, fetch embed codes, and read account info — but they can't read messages, change your password, or touch billing.

Embedding · Shortcode

The simplest way to insert a form. Pick a token in the FormPing → Insert tab, copy the shortcode, and paste it into any page or post.

[formping token="YOUR_TOKEN_HERE"]

Set the language explicitly:

[formping token="YOUR_TOKEN_HERE" lang="de"]

Supported languages: de, en, fr, es, it, pt.

Embedding · Gutenberg block

In the block editor, search for FormPing and add the block. The block shows a live preview of your form right inside the editor — so you can see exactly what visitors will see without previewing the page.

The block's right-hand Inspector Controls let you pick the token and set the form language per block, so you can embed the same form in different languages on different pages.

Embedding · Takeover

If you already have a Contact Form 7, WPForms, or WS Form form on a page and just want FormPing to capture submissions too, use Takeover via the shortcode form parameter:

[formping token="YOUR_TOKEN_HERE" form=".wpcf7-form"]

This drops a Takeover script onto the page targeting the selector you give it. The visible form (CF7, WPForms, etc.) keeps working exactly as before; FormPing just listens in on the submission.

Supported third-party plugins

Plugins that render a real <form> tag work with Takeover:

Plugins that don't render a real <form> tag (some block-only builders) aren't compatible with Takeover. Use a regular shortcode embed of your FormPing form instead.
